Snorkel Parts

There are three categories of aerial lifts: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers. They seem similar, but each one has a unique purpose and is suited for specific environments and jobs. Snorkel Scissor lifts are hydraulic platforms that raise and lower workers and heavy load. Its platform is raised above the base. It offers stability, which differentiates the lift from other aerial lifts.

Snorkel scissor lifts are always up to the task. The lifts are designed to deliver high performance at the low cost of ownership. Snorkel scissor lifts are built with heavy-duty, durable steel components. The compact dimensions make them fit in confined spaces and pass through standard doorways.

Snorkel lifts are efficient and nimble and come with an optional bi-energy. When you have used the lifts for a while, you may need to replace some parts. If you are a newbie, you may need help in getting the needed spare parts. Consider several factors when replacing your snorkel lift parts.

Types of Scissor Lifts

Scissor lifts are similar to ladders and scaffolding; however, they have a larger carrying capacity and reliable reach. Businesses use scissor lifts as they decrease costs and increase productivity. Snorkel lift supports heavy-duty loading and unloading of materials and equipment. They can also be used in installations where workers need to lower and raise heavy equipment.

Slab scissor lifts are electrically powered and suited for flat, smooth, and paved terrains. They have load and reach capacities of 1200 lbs. and 46 feet respectively.

Rough terrain scissors lifts are either IC or electric powered. They have heavy-duty tires and are four-wheel drive so that they can handle off-road conditions. Their reach capacity is 59 feet, and their load capacity is 1500 lbs.

Single-man scissor lifts are meant for portability. They can be pushed since they are light and are designed for one worker at a time. The load capacity for these machines is 500 lbs. and a reach of 46 feet.

Choosing the Right Scissor Lift Parts

When it comes to buying large equipment parts, it is essential to evaluate the maximum and minimum operating requirements. Consider the intended use of the lift. If it will be used for heavy loading and offloading, it is best to go for a lift with a high reach and load capacity.

Another thing you need to consider is the site location. A scissor lift designed for a slab or smooth area is not suitable for rough terrains. You may end up spoiling the lift and having to change the lift parts frequently. Remember, the parts can be expensive and even hard to find. When the lift malfunctions, you may have to stop working to fix it, which decreases your productivity level.
